The opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team and take ownership of complex, full-stack functionality within our flagship web applications. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our research and development efforts, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects from start to finish. You will not only write high-quality code but also serve as a mentor to other engineers, providing technical guidance and conducting code reviews to help us maintain a high bar for excellence. This is a unique chance to shape the future of our products while integrating cutting-edge AI and LLM technologies into our ecosystem.

A day in the life

• Develop robust web application features using React for the frontend and Python with FastAPI for the backend.
• Collaborate across R&D departments, including product, design, and data science, to ensure our solutions are cohesive and user-centric.
• Mentor fellow engineers on best practices and contribute to architectural decision-making to ensure our systems remain scalable and secure.

Who you are

You are a bold and thoughtful engineer who takes pride in your craft. You have at least 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong command of React and Python. You are comfortable working in production environments and have a solid grasp of tools like Unix, BASH, and Nginx. You have a proven track record of working effectively with product and UI/UX teams to bring projects to life. Additionally, you are proficient in JavaScript, SQL, and MongoDB. Experience with web security practices, such as OWASP, and a background in integrating legacy applications or managing architectural migrations are considered significant assets.
