The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position for someone who wants to take ownership of complex projects from the initial concept through to final deployment. You will be a key member of our engineering group, helping to define our technical direction and mentoring others as we continue to scale our impact.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex features, ensuring they are delivered from concept to production effectively.
• Make high-level architectural decisions that keep our Rails application performant, scalable, and easy to maintain.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers through regular code reviews, pair programming, and active knowledge sharing.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone with a proven background in building and scaling production-grade Rails applications. You should have a deep understanding of Rails fundamentals and the ability to balance rapid delivery with long-term system sustainability. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working across the stack, including JavaScript and CSS, and possesses a strong testing mindset using tools like Minitest. You should be a clear communicator who can articulate technical trade-offs and guide others through complex production challenges.
