Senior Software Engineer at QuantCo

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. At QuantCo, we bridge the gap between data science, engineering, and economics to help major organizations turn complex data into actionable decisions. Founded by four PhDs from Harvard and Stanford, our team of over 180 professionals builds algorithmic pricing, high-dimensional forecasting, and claims management systems for some of the largest financial, retail, and healthcare companies globally. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will own systems from end to end, ensuring our clients receive high-quality, scalable products that impact millions of people and billions of dollars in revenue.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of business-critical systems while bridging the gap between infrastructure and data science.
• Partner with organizational leaders to improve team performance, identify new technical opportunities, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate across functions to manage project roadmaps, ensuring that short-term initiatives align with our long-term technical vision.

Requirements

• Extensive programming experience in at least one modern ecosystem, such as C++, Java, Python, or Rust, with bonus points for skills in C#, Go, Kotlin, Ruby, or Scala.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles, including data structures, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and machine learning.
• Proven track record of technical leadership, including the ability to guide project teams and mentor junior staff.
• Experience communicating effectively across different functions to drive complex solutions.
• Business proficiency in English.
