At HighFi we are building a generative AI platform that helps fintech lenders replace slow, Excel-heavy capital markets workflows with a single, unified system. Our six-person team works from a bright Toronto office with a full kitchen and three meeting rooms, and we are backed by investors who have led some of fintech’s best-known companies. We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer who wants to shape both the product and the culture as we grow.

What you'll be doing

Move across the entire codebase, from data ingestion pipelines and financial models to REST APIs and React interfaces, while collaborating daily with product and customer teams.
Integrate large-language-model capabilities using OpenAI and GPT-4 to automate complex lending workflows and continuously improve those features based on real user feedback.
Help teammates ramp up in areas where you are strong and lean on their support where you want to grow, keeping code quality and system reliability high as the platform scales.

What you'll bring

At least eight years of full-stack experience building and shipping production software.
Strong proficiency with TypeScript, Next.js, Postgres (via Prisma), Redis, tRPC, and modern API design.
Hands-on experience integrating LLM services such as OpenAI and GPT-4, plus familiarity with deployment on Vercel and Google Cloud Platform.
Clear communication skills and a genuine interest in working side-by-side with product managers and customers to refine features.
A track record of continually sharpening your craft and contributing to a healthy, supportive team environment.
English fluency and the ability to work on-site in our Toronto office.
