The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote team and help us build the future of benefits. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping high-quality products that solve complex business workflows. You will work within our GCP and Kubernetes infrastructure to build secure, scalable backend APIs that make complicated financial transactions feel simple. By integrating with partners like Stripe and Plaid, you will play a key role in ensuring our platform remains reliable and efficient for our users.

A day in the life

• You will release impactful new product features while ensuring our existing services remain stable and performant.
• You will collaborate with the wider team to deeply understand our product values and contribute to an exceptional user experience.
• You will design and build secure backend APIs and database structures, ensuring everything is well-documented and easy for the team to maintain.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and values clear communication in English. We are looking for someone who brings the following experience and skills to our team:

• At least 5 years of professional experience building APIs using Kotlin, NodeJS, or TypeScript.
• Strong familiarity with both NoSQL and relational databases.
• A solid grasp of JavaScript and modern development practices.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and a proven track record of leading projects from start to finish.
• A background in fintech or experience working within an early-stage startup environment is considered a significant plus.
