The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build user-focused projects within our agile environment. This role is perfect for someone who wants to work across a broad product surface, utilizing a diverse tech stack while shipping code on a regular cadence. As a senior member of our team, you will not just be writing code. You will act as a mentor to your peers and play a significant role in shaping our development and product processes. You will have the autonomy to own your projects from start to finish, working closely with our design and product teams to iterate rapidly.

A day in the life

• You will regularly ship high-quality code while taking ownership of specific portions of our agile development cycle.
• You will serve as a technical advisor for your team, proposing and implementing architectural solutions that keep our tech stack modern and efficient.
• You will dedicate time to mentoring fellow engineers, helping to elevate the collective knowledge and skill level of the entire team.

Who you are

You are an experienced engineer who thrives in collaborative settings and cares deeply about the products you build. You have a strong foundation in computer science and a history of leveling up those around you. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• You have at least 5 years of experience building scalable applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
• You are comfortable with deployment platforms like AWS and Heroku.
• You possess expertise in designing secure, well-tested REST APIs and have a solid grasp of relational database schema design.
• You communicate effectively in English and are comfortable working in a remote environment.
