Senior Software Engineer at RxSense

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our product engineering team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role you will work within a small, cross-functional group to design, build, and maintain features for our cloud platform that serves both internal stakeholders and external users nationwide.

Key outcomes

• Deliver new capabilities across the full technology stack, from initial concept and architecture through development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.
• Collaborate daily with engineering managers, lead engineers, product managers, and designers to translate user needs into effective technical solutions.
• Design and implement software that reliably supports millions of users while meeting performance and security standards.
• Produce modular, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews to maintain high quality across the codebase.
• Identify and implement improvements to internal tooling and development processes in partnership with platform teams.
• Champion technical best practices such as simplicity, automation, sound design patterns, and code reusability within the team.
• Own and enhance existing application platforms, seeking opportunities to increase reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field that includes substantial coding coursework, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of industry experience building high-performance web applications with C# and .NET.
• Three or more years of experience as a full-stack engineer, including production work with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing and operating RESTful microservices using a recognized web framework.
• Comprehensive understanding of the .NET ecosystem, including .NET Core, MVC, WebAPI, and IIS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, Application Load Balancers, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, or API Gateway, or comparable services from another major cloud provider.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, assess risk, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving application issues promptly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and adoption of new technologies.
• English language proficiency.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in Agile environments using both Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Familiarity with unit-testing frameworks such as NUnit.
• Interest in working across the entire technology stack, including areas outside prior experience.
• Practical knowledge of modern DevOps practices, including containerization and Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience with Redis or Elasticsearch.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is 135000 - 155000. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our employees.
