We are Groupthink, an early-stage startup dedicated to transforming how teams collaborate. We utilize advanced large language models, such as OpenAI's GPT-4, to build meeting facilitation software that provides live note-taking and enhanced interaction during Zoom calls. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with our small, agile team of engineers, our UI designer, and our co-founders.
Responsibilities
- Develop new product features while actively managing technical debt and addressing bugs to keep our codebase healthy.
- Take ownership of end-to-end feature development, including designing and implementing both frontend components and backend APIs.
- Act as a technical leader by reviewing pull requests, unblocking fellow team members, planning upcoming sprints, and contributing to our long-term product roadmap.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who brings at least 5 years of professional experience to the table. Beyond your technical background, we value your ability to exercise independent judgment and your willingness to experiment with new ideas in a fast-paced startup environment. You should be comfortable moving quickly, iterating on feedback, and mentoring others.
- Extensive experience working with PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in using Docker for local development environments.
- Proven ability to implement and manage various 3rd-party RESTful APIs.
- A strong preference for remote work, supported by a productive home office setup and established professional routines.
- Bonus points if you have experience with React, working in pre-product/market fit startups, or building with LLMs and vector databases.
