Senior Software Engineer at The Nudge

The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. We are looking for motivated generalists who enjoy working across the entire stack and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for building out our web presence, our iOS and Android applications, and our complex backend infrastructure as we execute an aggressive product roadmap.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and deploy new application features across our entire platform ecosystem.
• Architect and build the backend infrastructure and APIs that power our user experience.
• Collaborate directly with designers, leadership, and fellow engineers to iterate rapidly and ship improvements multiple times every day.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in building complex web or mobile applications. We value candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience covering both frontend and backend development.
• Proven ability to design efficient data structures, algorithms, and technical protocols.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• An owner mentality and a proactive approach to leading projects within a small, high-impact team.
• Technical proficiency with JavaScript, React, and React Native is highly preferred.
• Experience working with JVM languages, PostgreSQL, and AWS is considered a significant bonus.
