The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team. This is a chance to make a significant impact from your very first day. Because we operate as a nimble, fast-moving business, you will gain a deep understanding of our entire organization rather than being siloed into a single department. You will help us scale our systems, influence our technical direction, and contribute to the research and governance initiatives that define our presence in the crypto space.
A day in the life
- You will build products from the ground up, managing the full lifecycle from data infrastructure and backend APIs to the user interface, while collaborating directly with stakeholders.
- You will play a key role in shaping our engineering culture by defining technical standards, selecting the best tools for the job, and making architectural decisions.
- You will wear many hats, jumping between projects to support our rapid growth while building deep expertise in the evolving world of cryptocurrency.
Who you are
You are an analytical thinker who balances a love for detail with a bias for action. You thrive in environments where things change quickly and you are eager to take ownership of your work while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with your teammates. You communicate with clarity and are always looking for ways to improve.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of software development experience and a strong desire to grow your career within the crypto industry. While you do not need to be an expert in every tool we use, you should be comfortable working across the stack and excited to learn new technologies. Our current environment relies on React and Node for our web platforms, Scala, Spark, and Kinesis for backend calculations, and Python for research scripts. We manage our data with Firebase, MongoDB, and Postgres, with most infrastructure hosted on AWS.
