We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. At Safari AI, our mission is to Automate Action for major players in the physical economy, including sectors like retail, entertainment, and quick-service restaurants. We utilize computer vision technology to provide real-time measurements, alerts, and actionable recommendations for industry leaders such as Universal Orlando, 7-11, and various professional sports teams. As a seed-funded company led by experienced founders, we are preparing for our Series A in 2025 and looking for high-agency individuals who are eager to build products in a space that has never been fully explored before.
Responsibilities
- Take primary ownership of one or more of our core service offerings.
- Establish and maintain high engineering standards for system design, documentation, coding, and team communication.
- Collaborate directly with our operations and engineering teams to define priorities and ensure clear, effective communication across the organization.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with 5 to 8 years of experience as an individual contributor, ideally with a background as a founder or founding engineer at a previous startup. You should possess a deep enthusiasm for AI and data, along with the following qualifications:
- Proven ability to build complex services from the ground up and take them to production.
- Experience in maintaining service reliability while delivering incremental feature updates.
- Proficiency in at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and security compliance.
- Expertise in one of our core technical areas, including big data frameworks like Flink, Hadoop, Beam, or Spark, full-stack development with React or Vue, or embedded computer vision using tools like TensorRT.
