The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Virtual Machine Provisioning team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a critical role in evolving our virtualization strategy. You will own and modularize our core Python-based web applications, ensuring that our customers enjoy a fast, stable, and performant virtualization experience.

Core responsibilities

• Collaborate within the Customer Platform organization to build new virtualization products while hardening our existing infrastructure.
• Partner with our Internal Platform team and Principal Engineers to maintain and troubleshoot our control plane across our global data center footprint.
• Act as a site reliability engineer to enhance system observability, drive automation, and expand our deployment pipelines.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical background and a commitment to high-quality engineering practices. We require the following qualifications:

• Expertise in Python, BASH, and PHP.
• Proven experience deploying guest architectures using QEMU and KVM.
• Deep knowledge of Linux environments.
• A strong commitment to Test Driven Development and thorough documentation.
• Familiarity with Windows and the libvirt library is considered a significant advantage.

Compensation and benefits

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000, depending on your background, location, and experience. We support our team with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
