The Role:
Forge’s software engineering team is passionate about innovation and building scalable solutions that drive liquidity and growth in the private market. Our teams leverage a broad range of technologies and are well-versed in delivering high quality, innovative solutions that solve tangible business goals. We are seeking a passionate senior-level engineer with at least 6 years of experience delivering innovative software solutions to external customers with User Interfaces (UIs) that are highly engaging, scalable, secure, and easy to maintain. This role will entail enhancing existing applications as well as building towards our next generation of experiences, so the ideal candidate will thrive in these team settings while focusing on delivering value.
This will be a hybrid role where you'll be onsite 1-2 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain data-driven web applications
- Mentor and pair with members of the engineering team on internal and external frameworks, software development best practices, and new technologies
- Gather technical requirements, sequence technical iteration, and be an active participant in team planning exercises
- Collaborate with Forge’s product, design, information security, and business team members
- Design, build, and maintain automated unit and integration tests
- Develop concise, articulate, and detailed documentation
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent years of working experience in the field
- Experience developing React frontend applications in JavaScript or TypeScript for external customers, as well as implementing server-side backend for frontends (BFFs) or APIs
- Experience developing multi-tier web applications using modern techniques
- Proven track-record of teamwork and delivery, with demonstrated examples of supporting and guiding other team members past engineering blockers
- Experience partnering with UI/UX designers and leveraging design systems, component libraries, charting libraries, and tables/grids
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) techniques with web frameworks such as Next.js or Remix
- Experience with React’s Material UI (MUI) component library
- Experience with Nivo or Recharts charting libraries
- Experience scaling and modernizing real-time customer experiences and upskilling teams
- Fintech, Financial services, or other highly-regulated industry experience
For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000 base salary + bonus. This range reflects variations in demonstrated experience and expertise. Final offers may differ due to geographic location, individual qualifications, bonus, and other factors.
