By combining cutting-edge AI with the expertise of language professionals, we provide high-quality transcriptions, subtitles, and closed captions at impressive speeds. We are a team of 39 people, and we are looking for someone special to join our journey as we grow thoughtfully and intentionally.

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in our Barcelona office. While we are remote-friendly, we believe in the power of in-person collaboration and aim to spend the majority of our time working together in our office to build our product and culture.

What will you do?

• Take ownership of product features from the initial concept and design phases through to implementation, shipping, and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop and maintain scalable infrastructure, which includes identifying system coupling and extracting concerns into efficient, small services.
• Optimize the performance and reliability of our systems by identifying bottlenecks in our transcription pipeline and implementing effective solutions.

You have a strong background in software engineering and thrive in a full-stack environment, typically splitting your time between backend and frontend tasks. We value engineers who are product-focused and genuinely interested in solving customer needs over those who are tied to specific technologies. While our stack includes Ruby on Rails, React, Heroku, and AWS, we prioritize your ability to learn and adapt over your current familiarity with these specific tools. You should be pragmatic, security-conscious, and eager to mentor other team members as we continue to grow.
