The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our platform team. This role is central to the success of our flagship product, Astro Private Cloud. You will focus on the foundational elements of our platform, including our API services, authentication and authorization frameworks, and our observability and logging systems. By joining this team, you will ensure that our infrastructure remains reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain as we continue to grow and support our global customers.
A day in the life
- You will lead the design and development of core platform components, including our API services, metrics, and authentication frameworks, while setting the technical vision for the architecture.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and product management to translate user requirements into high-quality features and intuitive user experiences.
- You will actively improve our platform by evaluating our current architecture, performing root cause analysis during incidents, and maintaining clear documentation for our systems.
Who you are
You are an experienced engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys mentoring others. We are looking for someone who brings the following skills to our team:
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to deploy and scale applications using Node.js, Golang, or Python within a production Kubernetes environment.
- Experience building front-end interfaces using React.js.
- Proficiency with SQL databases and a strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines.
- Deep knowledge of microservices, containerization, and cloud-native development.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts through architectural diagrams.
- Fluency in English.
