The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position based in Germany, operating under a hybrid work model. You will be instrumental in architecting our cloud infrastructure and championing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to ensure our systems remain scalable, resilient, and highly observable.

Core responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS by utilizing Terraform and robust Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Manage and scale our Kubernetes clusters on AWS (EKS) to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
• Champion SRE initiatives by implementing observability with OpenTelemetry and proactively identifying risks to maintain system reliability.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have deep experience in platform engineering and a strong background in cloud-native environments. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, and RDS.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically using Terraform.
• Operational knowledge of Kubernetes and building efficient CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• A commitment to SRE principles and experience with OpenTelemetry for system monitoring.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative, ownership-first mindset.
