Senior Software Engineer, Marketplace at Vendr

The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Marketplace team. This is a full-time, remote position open to candidates anywhere. As a senior member of our engineering organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform and ensuring our marketplace remains the most efficient way to discover and purchase software.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the frontend development of our Marketplace tool to streamline how users discover and procure products.
• Collaborate with our product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build intuitive, high-performance features like search, comparison tools, and checkout flows.
• Optimize our platform for large-scale product listings while ensuring seamless integration with various vendor APIs and catalogs.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation and a passion for building customer-centric applications. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Expertise in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Proven experience working with e-commerce platforms and building complex, user-facing applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different functional teams.
• A track record of delivering high-quality code and driving successful technical projects.
• Experience with GraphQL, state management tools like Redux, and payment gateway integrations is considered a significant plus.
• Leadership or mentorship experience is highly valued.
