The opportunity
We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer II to join our remote team and help us scale our technology. In this role, you will be a key player within a cross-functional group, taking ownership of core features from the initial concept phase all the way through to production. You will have the chance to tackle complex technical challenges, influence our architectural decisions, and contribute to a platform that is actively changing the landscape of production management.
A day in the life
- You will partner with designers and product managers to craft elegant, user-focused solutions for our customers.
- You will lead the delivery of complex, ambiguous projects by breaking them down into manageable, actionable tasks.
- You will write high-quality, performant code while actively participating in code reviews and mentoring fellow engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with a deep background in building production-grade web applications. You have a passion for clean architecture and a sharp eye for detail. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following skills to the table:
- Extensive experience developing applications and APIs using Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries, with specific expertise in PostgreSQL.
- A strong understanding of designing and documenting RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with our core tech stack, including StimulusJS, Redis, Sidekiq, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to explain technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
