The role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join our Backend team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position within our Retail and Revenue Integrations organization. You will play a pivotal role in our Conversion team, where you will develop high-performance, scalable systems that directly impact our daily active users. Core responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems using Golang and other modern technologies.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical specifications.
• Take full ownership of your projects, from writing clean, maintainable code and automated tests to troubleshooting production issues and driving continuous system improvements.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a collaborative mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in building services with Golang, Python, or Java.
• Extensive experience designing scalable distributed systems in cloud environments, specifically using AWS services like ECS, Lambda, and RDS.
• Deep knowledge of database technologies, including relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL, as well as non-relational stores such as DynamoDB or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, along with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• A solid understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, including experience with LLMs or recommendation systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within distributed, agile teams.
