At Aledade, we operate as a public benefit corporation dedicated to empowering independent primary care. Since our founding in 2014, we have grown into the largest network of independent primary care providers in the country. Our mission is to shift the healthcare landscape away from traditional fee-for-service models and toward value-based care. By supporting clinics and health centers, we help physicians focus on what they do best, which is keeping their patients healthy. We are looking for mission-driven individuals to join our remote-first, collaborative culture as we work to build a healthcare system that benefits patients, practices, and society as a whole.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position focused on our data infrastructure, and it is available for candidates located anywhere. You will be responsible for maintaining, improving, and expanding our web applications and data pipelines. We value engineers who prioritize secure, scalable, and performant solutions, and who understand that the best technical approach is not always writing new code. You will lean into observability, high test coverage, and incremental releases to deliver consistent value.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable, performant technical solutions that address complex healthcare challenges.
- Collaborate as a peer with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and various stakeholders to execute technical roadmaps using Agile methodologies.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, provide thorough pull request reviews, and actively participate in a culture of constructive feedback.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A BS, BTech, or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience building full-stack web applications within cross-functional teams.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with SQL or other database querying languages on large, multi-table data sets.
- At least 2 years of experience serving as a trusted technical decision-maker and mentoring other engineers.
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and managing performance monitoring for data infrastructure.
- Familiarity with data ingestion, ETL processes, and database systems, including replication and sharding for high availability.
- A strong commitment to security, especially when handling sensitive data.
Compensation and benefits
We provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our team members. Our offerings include:
- Remote work flexibility and flexible scheduling.
- Dental and vision insurance coverage.
- A 401k plan with up to a 4% company match.
- Generous paid time off, including 21 days of PTO in your first year, 11 paid holidays, and 2 paid volunteer days.
- Stock options.
- Additional support such as 12 weeks of paid parental leave and a 6-week paid sabbatical after 6 years of service.
How to apply
If you are passionate about transforming healthcare and want to contribute to a collaborative, inclusive environment, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for this position. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
