Picture a remote team of engineers, product thinkers, and builders who spend their days making clean-energy projects simpler and more affordable for homeowners across the country. At GoodLeap we power a platform that has already delivered more than $27 billion in financing for solar, batteries, and energy-efficient home upgrades since 2018, and our award-winning nonprofit GivePower is bringing water and electricity to more than 1.6 million people around the world. We are now looking for a senior engineer who wants to shape the financial systems that keep every dollar moving accurately and on time.
The opportunity
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Funding team you will own the services that ensure contractors, suppliers, and homeowners are paid quickly and correctly. Your work directly supports the reporting, compliance, and money-movement workflows that underpin our entire financing ecosystem. You will join a small, cross-functional squad that blends green-field builds with steady platform improvements, all while pushing the boundaries of serverless architecture and real-time observability.
A day in the life
- Design, code, and ship new features across our TypeScript, Node.js, and .NET codebases, writing clean APIs and data models that keep payments flowing without friction.
- Review pull requests, refine system designs, and pair with teammates to raise the quality bar while continuously deploying changes through our GitHub Actions pipelines.
- Monitor production with Datadog dashboards, investigate anomalies, and fine-tune Lambda functions or DynamoDB queries so the platform stays fast and reliable at scale.
Who you are
You bring several years of hands-on software engineering experience and a track record of turning complex business requirements into scalable applications. You are fluent in at least one of TypeScript, Node.js, .NET, or React, and you are comfortable building RESTful services and working with both relational and NoSQL stores. You value clear communication, pragmatic iteration, and the habit of leaving code better than you found it. Full professional proficiency in English is required, and you enjoy working entirely remotely with teammates distributed across different time zones.
Why you'll love it here
You will collaborate with a product manager, an engineering manager, and engineers who care deeply about automation, testing, and thoughtful system design. Our fully remote setup gives you the freedom to work from anywhere, and you will have the chance to contribute to both mission-driven technology and the life-changing work of GivePower. If you thrive on meaningful problems, continuous learning, and a culture that prizes both curiosity and delivery, we would love to meet you.
