At GoodLeap we build technology that makes sustainable home solutions more affordable and accessible. More than one million homeowners have used our platform, and our financing has supported over $27 billion in solar, energy efficiency, and home improvement projects since 2018. We also back GivePower, our nonprofit that delivers clean water and electricity to communities across three continents. Right now we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Funding team and help us keep payments accurate, fast, and transparent for everyone involved in these projects.
What you'll be doing
- Design, build, and maintain high-quality frontend and backend services that power payment workflows, reporting, and money movement across our financial ecosystem.
- Work side-by-side with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to turn business requirements into reliable, scalable features while participating in design reviews, code reviews, and continuous deployment.
- Monitor production systems, analyze performance, and introduce automation that improves reliability and speeds up payments for new partner types and use cases.
What you'll bring
You bring several years of professional software engineering experience and a track record of delivering maintainable code in complex systems. You are fluent in English and comfortable working fully remote with teammates across time zones. You have strong experience in at least one of the following technologies and are eager to expand your skills across the rest of the stack: TypeScript, Node.js, JavaScript, .NET, React, Next.js, or AWS. You have built and maintained RESTful APIs and worked with databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB. You value clear communication, pragmatic iteration, and a high level of ownership, and you enjoy pair programming and mentoring other engineers.
