We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our hybrid team in New York City and help us scale our communication platform.
Key outcomes
- Serve as a primary contributor to our Manager Experience product, which empowers brand administrators to manage customer interaction cadences and monitor agent performance.
- Enhance the observability and throughput of our Journey Automation platform.
- Master our integration with Twilio APIs and the AWS services that power our infrastructure.
- Act as a force multiplier for the engineering team by unblocking technical challenges, guiding design choices, and mentoring peers.
- Establish and maintain high standards for scalability, performance, and code maintainability across the engineering organization.
- Define protocols for system monitoring, debugging, and investigating production issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure application reliability and triage production incidents.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with web technologies, preferably within a high-growth startup environment.
- Fluency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development, combined with a working knowledge of React for frontend tasks.
- Proficiency in working with Postgres databases.
- Proven experience in building and scaling production-level systems.
- Ability to collaborate directly with Product teams to lead and execute complex, multi-resource projects.
- A strong passion for code quality and the ability to balance technical excellence with business objectives.
- A commitment to continuous learning and a desire to mentor others to elevate the entire team.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Practical experience working with DynamoDB.
