What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend tribe on a full-time, remote basis. This is a senior-level position for someone who enjoys collaborating across departments to ship high-quality code. You will play a key role in developing user-facing features, making important architectural decisions, and maintaining our backend systems.

What will you do?

• Design and implement robust, scalable features by working closely with our product, design, and frontend teams.
• Take ownership of the technical health of our codebase by identifying improvements, addressing technical debt, and ensuring high performance and security.
• Collaborate with your peers to scope and estimate project work while proactively resolving bottlenecks within the engineering team.

• Extensive experience building scalable services and APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• A strong working knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks like React for building user interfaces.
• Experience working with Gitlab and tools like Elasticsearch.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• A proven ability to thrive in a distributed, remote team environment.
