Senior Software Engineer, Frontend at Dutchie

Key outcomes

• Design and implement scalable, robust technical solutions using TypeScript and React to support our Ecommerce platform.
• Take ownership of complex projects, leading them from initial planning through to successful execution.
• Establish and promote engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
• Review code to ensure it meets our high standards for technical quality and functional requirements.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to improve reliability for our customers.
• Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to the professional growth of the team.
• Partner closely with product managers and UX designers to define and build impactful features.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering.
• Deep expertise in React and front-end best practices, with a focus on creating responsive, pixel-perfect user interfaces.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and a solid understanding of backend technologies, specifically Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
• Experience working with distributed systems and both relational and non-relational databases.
• Ability to design and extend scalable data models.
• A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to drive projects independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• A commitment to writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code within an agile environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Proven experience working with large-scale enterprise systems.
• Background in developing and maintaining ecommerce applications.

Compensation
