Key outcomes
- Provide technical oversight and project guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality, well-tested software solutions.
- Lead by example, maintaining high standards for code quality and professional work habits.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, validation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Convert conceptual product ideas into detailed technical plans for review by leadership and stakeholders.
- Design experiments and high-impact projects that align with our broader engineering and business strategies.
- Analyze complex systems to identify challenges and develop effective, scalable solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by providing constructive feedback during code reviews and hosting knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support the growth of the team by assisting with the onboarding of new engineering hires.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience serving in a senior engineering capacity.
- Proven production experience working with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong background in backend development, specifically in designing RESTful APIs and managing business logic within data stores.
- Deep expertise in system architecture and design.
- Demonstrated success in operational excellence and cross-functional leadership.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly within the Google Cloud ecosystem.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly in writing and through digital collaboration tools.
- A product-minded approach, focusing on the underlying business value of your technical decisions.

- Experience in product development environments where you acted as a primary decision-maker.
- A history of working autonomously while maintaining high accountability.
- A collaborative spirit, with a track record of building consensus across diverse teams.
