The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will act as a key technical leader, blending high-level architectural strategy with hands-on development. You will play a vital part in shaping our platform, ensuring that our systems are reliable, scalable, and capable of handling complex challenges in payments and risk management. This is an opportunity to influence our technical direction while working alongside a talented, collaborative group of engineers.
A day in the life
- Design and implement robust technical solutions that address critical backend challenges, including fraud detection and risk management.
- Collaborate closely with product teams and other engineers to translate complex business requirements into high-quality, scalable code.
- Drive the evolution of our engineering processes and tools to ensure we continue to iterate rapidly while maintaining a high standard of craft.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with at least 5 years of experience building complex backend systems. You possess strong technical skills in Java, and you have a proven track record of taking ownership of impactful projects. You are a collaborative communicator who is comfortable working in English to bridge the gap between product ideas and technical implementation. Above all, you are passionate about learning and thrive in a fast-paced environment where your work directly empowers families.
