What you bring

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on a contractor basis. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will play a vital role in our engineering efforts by leveraging your experience with Python, FastAPI, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and HL7 standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Designing and implementing robust backend services to integrate IMS with LIS using HL7 standards.
Developing efficient data pipelines and interfaces using Kafka to support our platform.
Driving the architecture of our application platform while collaborating across product, design, and machine learning teams to ensure high engineering standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering, typically demonstrated by five or more years of professional experience. While a bachelor's degree is highly valued, we also welcome candidates with equivalent practical experience. We are looking for individuals who possess an insatiable intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly within a complex, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in English is required, and you should be a dedicated team player who is passionate about your work and willing to tackle tasks of any size.
