Senior Software Engineer (Backend) at Aerostrat

What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our backend team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a senior-level position requiring at least 36 months of professional experience. In this role, you will be instrumental in scaling our infrastructure and APIs to meet the needs of our growing customer base. Because our engineering team is small, you will have a unique opportunity to influence our product roadmap and see your code move into production frequently.

What will you do?

• Analyze complex customer requirements to design and implement efficient, high-quality, and sustainable backend solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable systems while ensuring all features are thoroughly tested and performant.
• Collaborate closely with our business team to translate ambiguous problems into clear user stories and technical designs.

• Extensive experience with C#/.NET and SQL Server databases.
• A strong background in building and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
• Proven experience developing B2B cloud solutions on platforms like Azure or AWS.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in C#/.NET and SQL, along with at least 3 years of experience in cloud development, API design, and creating technical documentation for your peers.
• Fluency in English.
