At Sidecar Health, we are on a mission to make high-quality healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone by fundamentally redefining how insurance works. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in the United States and help us fix a broken system through transparency and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements into innovative, scalable, and event-driven technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of large-scale projects and solve challenging technical problems.
  • Collaborate across product, design, and research teams to build and launch core digital products.
  • Design and develop robust applications using our modern technology stack.
  • Ensure operational excellence by maintaining high standards for testing, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.

Must-haves

  • At least 5 years of professional experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
  • Proven track record of deploying enterprise-level applications into production.
  • Hands-on experience with MySQL and Hibernate.
  • Strong background in microservices architecture and agile development practices.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting production issues and analyzing application logs to prevent future bugs.
  • Fluency in English.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000.
