About the Role

In the position of Senior Backend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product management, research, design, and engineering teams to conceptualize and execute the development of our core product. Your role as a technology expert involves architectural planning, design, implementation, and the launch of our digital solutions.

What You'll Do

• Play a key role in mapping the expanding needs of the business into innovative technical solutions within a highly scalable and event-driven architecture
• Tackle projects and problems of significantly larger scope
• Coordinate and communicate seamlessly across other technical and product teams
• Possesses a high degree of technical competency to design and develop digital applications using cutting-edge tools and technologies
• Foster operational excellence through comprehensive testing and monitoring of systems and code, and crafting documentation
• Uphold a culture of collaboration, transparency, creativity, inclusion, and data-driven decisions

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Java programming using Spring Boot framework
• Experience working on our technology stack (Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, Docker, JUnit, Spock, Swagger, Snowflake) and proven track record of releasing enterprise applications into production using this tech stack
• Experience working with AWS, AWS CLI and SDK, deploying applications on ECS (Fargate), RDS, working with S3, SQS, Lambda etc
• Proficiency in agile and lean development practices, test automation, and microservices architecture
• Skilled in troubleshooting production issues, analyzing application logs (using tools like Datadog, CloudWatch), and identifying patterns to prevent bugs and issues

Sidecar Health adopts a market-based approach to compensation, where base pay varies depending on location and is further influenced by job-related skills and experience. The current expected salary range for this position is $150,000 - $165,000.
