At Sidecar Health, we are on a mission to make high-quality healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone by fundamentally redefining how insurance works. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in the United States and help us fix a broken system through transparency and innovation.

Responsibilities

Translate complex business requirements into innovative, scalable, and event-driven technical solutions.
Take ownership of large-scale projects and solve challenging technical problems.
Collaborate across product, design, and research teams to build and launch core digital products.
Design and develop robust applications using our modern technology stack.
Ensure operational excellence by maintaining high standards for testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Promote a culture of inclusion, creativity, and data-driven decision-making.

Must-haves

At least 5 years of professional experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
Proven track record of deploying enterprise-level applications into production.
Hands-on experience with MySQL and Hibernate.
Strong background in microservices architecture and agile development practices.
Proficiency in troubleshooting production issues and analyzing application logs to prevent future bugs.
Fluency in English.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000.
