What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join our team in India on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a senior-level position intended for someone with significant experience in building large-scale, real-time cloud systems. You will play a vital role in our engineering department, focusing on the lifecycle management and development of our supply chain visibility platform.

What will you do?

• Develop and manage state-of-the-art integrations that expand our network of carriers and customers.
• Maintain and enhance our supply chain visibility platform while working within a multi-cloud environment using AWS and GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to own the full software delivery process, including development, operations, and testing, while participating in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability.

What makes you a great fit?

To be successful in this role, you should have at least five years of professional experience in building complex cloud systems. We are looking for someone who communicates effectively in English and possesses the following technical background:

• Strong proficiency in Java or C++, including deep debugging skills.
• Experience designing and working with scalable micro-services.
• Practical knowledge of Postgres or similar SQL databases.
• Familiarity with event streaming tools like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Experience working within an Agile development framework.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or building RESTful APIs.
