We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Backend Development for a full-time, on-site position in Taiwan to help us build the robust platforms that connect our AI technology with our customers.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of significant engineering projects and services, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Lead system design efforts and provide technical mentorship to junior team members while facilitating high-performance agile collaboration.
- Drive improvements in system observability, incident management, and operational procedures to maintain the highest standards of production quality.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in software engineering and a passion for distributed systems. We look for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proven ability to build and maintain web services within a Linux environment.
- Proficiency in one or more of our core languages, including Python, Scala, Go, Java, or C++.
- Experience with modern network API design, such as REST or GraphQL, and familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases like MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to solving complex technical problems.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, as is experience in architecting large-scale distributed systems.
