About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Applications team on a full-time basis. In this position, you will focus on our flagship Astro Private Cloud product. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our core API services, authentication frameworks, observability tools, and user interface components. Your work will directly influence the reliability and scalability of the platform that our customers rely on every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of critical platform components, including authentication, authorization, core APIs, and logging frameworks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and product management to translate user needs into high-quality, customer-facing features and UI experiences.
• Continuously assess our platform architecture to drive improvements in overall usability, system reliability, and long-term scalability.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in building and maintaining production-grade systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience, including a proven track record of mentoring junior team members.
• Deep expertise in deploying and scaling applications using Node.js, Golang, or Python within a Kubernetes production environment.
• Practical experience building front-end applications with React and managing SQL databases like Postgres or MySQL.
• A solid grasp of microservices, containerization, and cloud-native development principles.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts through clear architectural diagrams.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000, depending on your specific qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, we offer the following:
