The opportunity

We are searching for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for Artificial Intelligence to help us revolutionize how emergency communication centers function. In this role, you will be at the heart of our technical efforts, designing AI-driven solutions that provide critical, real-time insights to first responders. You will fit perfectly into our team if you enjoy working across the stack and are eager to apply modern data and AI technologies to solve complex, high-stakes problems that make a tangible difference in people's lives.

A day in the life

• Build with AI: You will design and implement high-quality software, working closely with Large Language Models to ensure our applications are robust, intelligent, and continuously improving.
• Unlock data insights: You will dive into our vast datasets from emergency calls and digital sensors, fusing internal and external information to provide optimal decision support for call takers.
• Collaborate for impact: You will partner with data engineers and emergency response professionals to integrate your AI solutions into our platform, ensuring they serve the people who need them most.

Who you are

You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment. We are looking for someone who brings the following experience and skills to our team:

• A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience taking LLM projects from development to production.
• The ability to navigate complex, multimodal data including audio, video, and structured or unstructured information.
• Experience working with data warehouses, such as DataBricks, or a strong willingness to learn our specific stack.
• Excellent communication skills in English, allowing you to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• A readiness to join a weekly on-call rotation and travel for team gatherings a few times each year.
