As a Senior Software Developer you'll be given autonomy and trust to:

• Scope and author designs, then drive development through SDLC to final release

• Collaborate, coordinate and delegate within project team members

• Drive one or more features within the team

• Be a subject matter expert that inspires learning and growth

• Advise those who look to you as a subject matter expert

• Reach out to customers to discuss topics or answer questions

• Become proficient in authoring designs to ensure they are approved by our customer

Technical Acumen Responsibilities

Lead designs with minimal guidance

Actively participate in code reviews and be a gatekeeper to high code standards

Write complete and correct tests including setting up test frameworks as needed

Write code that is maintainable, readable, testable, and documented

Live out high programming, leadership and customer service standards

Delivery & Execution

Ability to operate independently to efficiently deliver results.

Gather specifications from clients, scoping work to reflect client demands and ensure clear expectations

Own the success of your project by prioritizing and managing schedules, as well as delegating tasks and seeking help from others

Accurately plan and estimate projects according to specifications

Foster highly productive collaboration within your team

Use clear and timely communication to ensure the team and clients are well informed

Leadership Responsibilities

Mentor other developers

Be a subject matter expert in multiple areas for your team

Help to improve company best practices, knowledge base, policies and processes

Lead by example in pursuing projects that require learning new technologies, skills, languages

Offer proposals and solutions to challenges and issues.

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on to find awesome folks like yourself!

Participate in the development of an inclusive, helpful, fun environment.

Qualifications

B. Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience

5+ years of industry experience with programming object-oriented Java and/or C++

Excited to learn and solve challenging technology problems

Experience estimating software development requirements

An ability to present and discuss ideas in a collaborative way

Development experience on Window and macOS, Linux a plus

Nice to Haves

Memory management and performance analysis tools experience

Big Data and/or NoSQL experience

Experience building database connectivity

Exposure to authentication and access technologies such as SSO, OAuth, SAML, LDAP

Experience programming with other backend languages
