Senior Service Engineer at Swiftly

At Swiftly, we are transforming the retail industry by bridging the gap between digital and in-store shopping experiences. We are currently experiencing significant growth, bolstered by our recent 100 million dollar Series C funding round, and we are looking for a Senior Service Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a background in enterprise backend development, we would love to have you help us onboard and support our expanding client base.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust backend services that power the APIs used by our web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical program managers and solutions engineers, to design, build, and deploy integration software solutions.
• Take ownership of technical quality by overseeing code reviews, writing scalable tests, and resolving integration issues to ensure a seamless experience for our users.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in enterprise backend development using Java or Kotlin.
• Strong technical proficiency with Kotlin, Quarkus, Docker, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Proven experience with Test Driven Development, automated testing frameworks, and Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
