Senior Security Engineer at Guidewire Software

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team in India on a full-time, hybrid basis to help us strengthen our security posture through automation and innovation.

What you'll be doing

• You will lead the design and development of automated workflows using APIs to address vulnerability management gaps and improve overall security efficiency.
• You will research and implement security tools, including open-source and enterprise scanners, to integrate security requirements directly into our development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• You will create custom scripts to reduce manual intervention, ensure security policies are strictly enforced, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain our infrastructure's defense.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. We are looking for the following skills:

• Strong programming proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Extensive experience working within the AWS cloud environment, specifically with Lambda functions and the Serverless Application Model.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker containers.
• A solid understanding of Information Security, OWASP standards, REST APIs, and the cybersecurity detection and response lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills in English, a systematic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in an agile, collaborative environment.
