The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be the guardian of our platform, ensuring that our systems remain resilient against evolving threats. You will bridge the gap between complex infrastructure and secure application development, playing a vital role in protecting our products and the decentralized payment ecosystem we are building. This is a unique chance to apply your expertise in cryptocurrency and blockchain security to real-world challenges while shaping our internal security culture.
A day in the life
- You will design and build robust tools and systems that embed security into our infrastructure and products by default.
- You will perform deep-dive code audits and security reviews to proactively identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- You will collaborate with our engineering teams to provide technical guidance on secure development practices, specifically focusing on the nuances of blockchain and crypto-related security.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least five years of experience in engineering security, including a strong background in secure software development and risk management. You possess a deep understanding of security principles such as encryption, authentication, and access control. To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python or Java.
- Expertise in at least two areas of security, such as cloud security, Linux security, or application security.
- A solid grasp of common attack vectors and mitigation strategies, particularly within the blockchain and cryptocurrency sectors.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or OWASP.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- While a Computer Science degree is helpful, we value practical experience and welcome candidates from diverse professional backgrounds.
