Hi, we are Oscar. We are currently looking for a Senior SDET II to join our Quality Engineering team. Since our founding in 2012, we have been working to transform the health insurance industry by building a full-stack technology platform that treats our members like family. We aim to provide the kind of care we would want for ourselves, and we are looking for talented individuals to help us continue that mission.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, senior-level position focused on elevating our software quality. You will work in a hybrid capacity, with the option to work remotely if you reside in one of our approved states, or from our offices in New York City, Tempe, or Los Angeles if you live within a commutable distance. You will report directly to the Director of Technical Product Management and play a key role in ensuring our digital member experiences are reliable and scalable.
What will you do?
- Design and implement state-of-the-art automation frameworks that support our web, mobile, API, and data applications.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and fellow engineers to identify gaps in testability and ensure our systems are ready for high-quality releases.
- Mentor junior engineers and advocate for testing best practices while driving the technical roadmap for our quality initiatives.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have at least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, specifically with a focus on designing automation frameworks for enterprise-level applications. We are looking for someone who is fluent in English and possesses deep technical expertise in the following areas:
- Extensive experience with Selenium, Appium, and other modern automation tools.
- A strong background in API testing, performance testing, and load testing.
- A proven track record of leading technical projects and mentoring team members to improve code quality and system stability.
- The ability to write stable, maintainable code and a passion for building fault-tolerant software systems.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $174,400 to $228,900 per year. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for annual performance bonuses and company equity grants. Our benefits package is designed to support your well-being and includes:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life and disability insurance coverage.
- A 401(k) retirement plan.
- Generous paid time off and an unlimited vacation program.
- Maternity and paternity leave to support your growing family.
- The flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements.
