The role
We are hiring a Senior Rust Developer on a full-time, remote basis. This founding-engineer position calls for someone with senior-level experience who is ready to build a high-performing AI/API Management Platform from its first lines of code through its initial production release.
Core responsibilities
- Own the complete design, development, and deployment of the new API Management Platform in Rust, ensuring it is robust and scalable from day one.
- Stand up the CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure (Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform) needed to move the product into a production-ready state.
- Build deep observability and monitoring, then take primary responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving production issues for our first customer and future users.
Skills and experience
We are looking for a strong Rust engineer with at least five years of backend development experience and a proven track record on high-load, distributed systems. You should be comfortable with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and modern CI/CD practices, and you should bring a founder mindset that thrives in startup conditions. Experience using Claude Code and other AI tools to accelerate development and testing is essential. Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous environment are required. English fluency is necessary.
