We are currently looking for a Senior Risk Manager to join our Project Controls team on a full-time basis. At CMR, we are a dynamic and progressive consultancy dedicated to transforming the construction industry by reimagining project controls through a digital lens. This role is a hybrid position, requiring you to work from home and spend three days a week at our Birmingham office.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with project management and commercial teams to ensure effective risk management strategies are in place to meet project objectives.
- Facilitate comprehensive risk workshops to identify and capture potential project exposures.
- Maintain and manage risk registers by guiding team members through the assessment of risk causes, events, and impacts, while developing cost-effective mitigation responses.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in project management or project controls, particularly within the major construction sector. We are looking for a technically minded individual who understands risk methodologies and can clearly communicate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders. You should also be comfortable challenging existing assumptions to improve performance data delivery. Additionally, you must have the full right to work in the UK.
While not mandatory, we highly value the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized project management qualification from the APM or IRM.
- Proficiency in quantitative risk analysis tools such as @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, ARM, or Safran.
