Our work is rooted in over a decade of groundbreaking research from Yale University, and we are currently utilizing a modular, scalable architecture based on superconducting devices to achieve transformational computing power. We are looking for a brilliant engineer to help us bridge the gap between high-level quantum algorithms and our physical hardware.
Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Quantum Software Engineer to focus on compiler design and interface development. This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely from anywhere. You will be a key player in our software team, helping to refine the tools that make our quantum platform accessible and efficient.
Your impact
- Architect and build robust, reliable, and highly efficient compiler software that translates general quantum circuits into precise control sequences.
- Partner with our quantum physicists and application engineers to ensure our software effectively leverages our industry-leading dual-rail qubit architecture.
- Collaborate across teams to turn complex functional requirements into high-quality technical specifications and maintainable code.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong technical foundation and a passion for quantum systems. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Math, or a related engineering field.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience using C++, Python, or Java.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically developing compiler software or transpilation layers for quantum models using tools like Qiskit, CUDA Quantum, or Q#.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database management.
- Solid experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to cross-functional partners.
