Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Commencis

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of digital solutions for global leaders in retail, finance, and travel. Responsibilities

• Analyze project documentation, including user stories and design specifications, to ensure everything is testable.
• Design and implement comprehensive test cases that balance both manual and automated testing strategies.
• Execute thorough testing for web applications and APIs to maintain high standards.
• Manage the full testing lifecycle, from initial planning and design to execution, monitoring, and final reporting.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure business requirements are fully realized in the final product.
• Support our release management processes and promote continuous integration and testing practices.
• Actively champion quality standards across all project phases.

Must-haves

• At least 4 years of professional experience in software testing.
• A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven ability to translate product requirements into effective test cases.
• Hands-on experience with mobile and web UI automation tools.
• Proficiency with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Protractor, Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Practical knowledge of cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server, including writing database queries.
• A sharp eye for detail, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to identify root causes.
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with continuous integration tools like Jenkins.
• ISTQB certification.
