Senior QA Engineer at Hyperhug

HyperHug is an international game development studio focused on the shooter genre. Our headquarters are located in Cyprus, while our team works remotely from locations around the world. We are currently developing Oxide: Survival Island, a multiplayer survival shooter for mobile platforms, and we invite experienced professionals to join us in shaping the next stages of this project.

Key outcomes

• Conduct full-cycle testing of a mobile free-to-play title, covering new features, mechanics, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Create, maintain, and update test documentation such as test cases and checklists.
• Document and report issues, then prepare clear test reports for the team.
• Collaborate closely with developers to resolve issues and maintain product stability.
• Monitor build stability and overall product quality throughout the development cycle.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience testing mobile games on Android and iOS, including a thorough understanding of the full release cycle and QA processes.
• Knowledge of sandbox and survival game mechanics, including open-world design, crafting and loot systems, and PvP/PvE interactions.
• Understanding of client-server architecture and experience testing online and network gameplay.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Experience using analytics platforms including Firebase, AppMetrica, and GameAnalytics.
• Proficiency with mobile emulators such as Bluestacks and Nox.
• Experience with CI/CD systems including GitLab and TeamCity.
• Working knowledge of development and debugging tools such as Android Studio, adb, logcat, Xcode, and Unity for navigating assets and component logic.
• Familiarity with network traffic analysis tools such as Charles, Fiddler, and Wireshark, as well as version control operations in Git including pull, fetch, and log commands.
• Strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude and Gemini.
• Knowledge of programming languages including C# and Python.
• Experience in test automation for Unity-based mobile games.
• English language proficiency at B1 level or higher and Russian language proficiency at C1 level.

Preferred qualifications

• Personal interest in hardcore and survival games, demonstrated through experience with titles such as RUST, ARK, or DayZ.
• Experience working with Firebase integrations.
• Experience handling JSON files.
