Fuellabs is looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer
Fuel is looking for a Senior Protocol Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. We operate at the forefront of blockchain scalability research and development, where we design and build robust full-node software driven by a next-generation virtual machine. We are looking for a technical leader who is comfortable sharing strong opinions, providing constructive feedback on our current architecture, and contributing innovative ideas to our growing ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Focus on low-level optimizations and performance improvements for the Fuel VM.
- Develop and implement new protocol features, including work on bridging, fraud proofing, multidimensional pricing, and gas efficiency models to drive high throughput.
- Design, build, and maintain secure, resilient distributed P2P systems, ensuring the stability of the Fuel network post-mainnet launch.
Requirements
- A proven track record of success as a software engineer.
- Advanced proficiency in Rust, with a preference for candidates who have contributed to open-source projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of virtual machines or blockchain node software.
- Extensive experience in the design and development of high-throughput applications, P2P distributed systems, fraud-proving systems for ZK or optimistic rollups, and the decentralization of block production.
- Professional fluency in English.
