At Pivot Energy, we are dedicated to driving the transition toward a cleaner future through the development and execution of innovative solar and storage solutions. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of complex energy projects, including hybrid PV and battery energy storage systems. If you are passionate about renewable energy and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we would love to have you help us shape our operational standards and deliver high-impact infrastructure across the country.
About the Role
This is a full-time position focused on managing the lifecycle of DC-coupled, hybrid, and standalone storage projects. You will guide these initiatives from their late-stage development phases through to construction, commissioning, and final closeout. As a key member of our delivery team, you will ensure our projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while meeting all regulatory and tax-credit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery process, which includes establishing baseline schedules, managing risk registers, and overseeing commissioning plans for storage assets.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to validate site feasibility, manage long-lead procurement for critical components, and ensure constructability through rigorous design reviews.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including local authorities, to secure necessary permits and ensure compliance with complex fire and electrical codes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in utility-scale or C&I renewable energy project management, with a minimum of 3 years specifically focused on bringing BESS projects to commercial operation.
- Strong technical knowledge of industry standards, including NFPA 855, IFC, and various NEC articles related to energy storage and interconnection.
- Proven ability to manage EPC contractors, negotiate commercial terms, and utilize project management tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, and Power BI.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional communication.
Location
This role is based in the United States and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation and Benefits
We are committed to supporting our team members through a flexible work environment. This role includes the benefit of hybrid work, allowing for a balance between office collaboration and remote productivity.
