We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our engineering team in the United States. Key outcomes
- Develop and manage capital project proposals from the initial management review and approval stage through to final commissioning.
- Create, maintain, and oversee essential technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with our process engineering team to select contractors and vendors, while expediting the delivery of necessary materials and equipment.
- Ensure project readiness by conducting thorough testing, facilitating field fitting, and leading commissioning activities.
- Maintain strict oversight of project scope, cost, and schedule to ensure all engineering programs meet our high standards for quality and efficiency.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree, or a foreign equivalent, in mechanical, chemical, or biochemical engineering, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience within the biotechnology or food manufacturing sectors.
- Proven ability to manage capital projects, including vendor selection, competitive procurement, and the development of engineering proposals.
- Demonstrated expertise in food processing, specifically regarding process design and sanitary practices.
- Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning equipment at either a pilot or commercial scale.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following tools: Microsoft Visio Professional, Autodesk AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or Lean Six Sigma.
- Strong communication skills in English.
