At Plooto, we are on a mission to solve one of the biggest challenges facing small and medium-sized businesses today. Since 82% of small businesses fail due to poor cash flow management, we have built a platform that automates financial processes to help them thrive. With over 10,000 businesses already trusting us to manage their finances, we are in a phase of hyper-growth as we aim to 10x our customer base and redefine the payments landscape across North America.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position that offers the flexibility of remote work. While we are currently hiring full-time employees based in Ontario, British Columbia, or Nova Scotia, we are open to considering applicants from other locations on a contract basis. You will be a central figure in our product organization, responsible for driving the strategy and execution of financial tools that empower our customers.
Core responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Product to define our payment strategy, identify new market opportunities, and expand our total addressable market.
- Own the product roadmap and OKRs, working alongside engineering and design teams to take features from initial ideation through to a successful go-to-market launch.
- Analyze transactional data and user feedback to identify pain points, propose scalable backend solutions, and collaborate with payment vendors to drive revenue growth.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a deep understanding of the financial technology sector and a passion for building user-centric products. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in product strategy, with 2 to 5 years specifically within the payment industry.
- A strong technical aptitude, including the ability to interpret API documentation and collaborate with backend teams on scalable payment routing.
- Proven experience managing relationships with payment service providers and banking partners like Stripe or Adyen.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable product features.
- A track record of effective stakeholder management, including working closely with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams.
Compensation and benefits
As a member of our team, you will enjoy the following benefits:
- The flexibility of a remote work environment.
- The opportunity to work with a diverse group of FinTech veterans in a high-growth, mission-driven company.
- The chance to make a significant impact on the financial health of thousands of small businesses.
How to apply
If you are ready to help us make history and transform the payments sector, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application to be considered for this role, and we will review your background to see how your expertise aligns with our vision for the future of Plooto.
