Senior Product Manager at Redpanda Data

We are a group of builders, engineers, and hackers dedicated to defining the future of streaming data. Backed by prominent investors like GV and Lightspeed, we are developing a streaming data platform that evolves beyond the Apache Kafka protocol. Our goal is to provide a unified engine of record that reduces complexity while offering high performance, Wasm transforms, and tiered storage that allows users to access both real-time and historical data through a single API. We support everyone from solo developers to Fortune 1000 enterprises, and we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help guide the evolution of our core platform capabilities.

Key outcomes

• Conduct market research and engage with customers to identify opportunities that shape our product strategy.
• Define feature requirements through detailed documentation and manage the prioritization of the product roadmap.
• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of features, including collaboration with design teams to ensure an optimal user experience across our GUI, CLI, and API interfaces.
• Articulate the value proposition and messaging for new features to both internal teams and external stakeholders, including training our go-to-market departments and representing the company at industry events.
• Partner with engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure we deliver the right features at the right time.
• Establish telemetry and metrics to evaluate the success of product launches following their rollout.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of direct product management experience in B2B enterprise software, specifically within data infrastructure, distributed systems, or data integration, or 5 years of experience in sales consulting or customer success for enterprise software.
• A minimum of 5 years of overall experience within the enterprise software industry.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience working within a fully distributed, remote environment using tools like GitHub, JIRA, Slack, and modern productivity software.
• Deep comfort working with highly technical products and engaging with technical customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for various audiences.

Compensation

The U.S. base salary range for this role is $189,000 to $222,000 for candidates in CA, NY, and WA, and $180,000 to $212,000 for other U.S. locations. We determine individual base salary based on your specific skills, experience, location, and relevant training.
