As a Senior Product Manager for Monetization, you will work to design, execute, and refine the monetization strategy of our products and play a cornerstone role in helping our business grow, scale, and reach new horizons of delivering on our mission of making musicality as common as literacy. You will lead a cross-functional product team and take ownership of subscription and ad monetization strategies for global products loved by tens of millions of people. You will build an evidence-based conceptual framework of monetization and deploy it to help the team focus and execute the most impactful experiments by identifying and validating opportunities and leverage points with cumulative learning, driving the monetization roadmap.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a Senior Product Manager for Monetization, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:

• You’ll own pricing and monetization models across platforms and geographies.
• Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, product designers, and data professionals to design, execute and analyze experiments (e.g., A/B tests) with the goal of compounding learning and improving the quality of bets being made
• Continuously gather insights from data, experiments and qualitative research to refine the monetization strategy and roadmap, and craft a better product that helps strengthen unit economics and grow our subscriber base. 
• Collaborate with analysts, designers, and other team members to create a mental model of causal relationships of app usage, to make better investment decisions.
• Continuously develop informed hypotheses regarding the next experiments to undertake, and strive to leverage past learnings in a compounding way.
• Develop a deeper understanding of technical aspects such as paid UA targeting, payment methods, and payment platforms to make informed decisions with engineers.
• You will work with our payment processing partners like Adyen, GooglePlay, and iTunes, and when relevant, look for ways to optimize payment processing, retry logic and dunning strategies, and reduce involuntary churn.  

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Experience in monetization and conversion optimization of consumer subscription products (e.g., games, media, entertainment)
• Demonstrated success in designing and executing improvements in monetization of products – please be prepared to share some concrete examples
• A solid track record of leading cross-functional software product teams
• Strong analytical skills, ability to use data to inform product decisions, and to effectively communicate evidence-based hypotheses and how they relate to higher-order goals such as business growth. You know how to successfully formulate and (in)validate your hypotheses using data. 
• Experience in leveraging metric driver trees, to identify hypotheses of causal relationships and leverage points, for moving input metrics to drive business  outcomes .
